Founded in 1992, the National Youth Leadership Forum (NYLF) helps prepare extraordinary young people for their academic future and professional careers. Its mission is to bring various professions to life, empowering outstanding young people with confidence to make well-informed career choices. NYLF programs are held in 18 cities throughout the United States.
Forums are offered in a variety of topics and career fields, including law, medicine, collegiate success and national security. High-achieving high school students are nominated to attend NYLF programs by educators, organization advisors, alumni, participating institutions or through classroom surveys. Students may also be admitted through an application process provided they meet the academic requirements. NYLF scholars all demonstrate strong academic abilities, leadership and an interest in the career field being studied.
From the beginning, NYLF selected an independent management company, now called Envision EMI, as its exclusive partner to provide curriculum development, program delivery and marketing support for all of its programs. Envision acquired the assets of NYLF in 2007 with the goal of providing top-notch educational opportunities across a broader spectrum of students. Today, all of the NYLF conferences described on this web site are offered as proud part of the Envision EMI family of programs.
Now in its 25th year, Envision EMI is a nonpartisan, taxpaying educational organization located just outside of Washington, D.C. in Vienna, VA. To find out more about our company, please visit the Envision EMI Online NewsRoom.
