I met many friends there from around the country, and it was amazing how close everyone became in just 10 days. Although I had been exposed to medically related topics before, NYLF/MED gave me a view of the "real world" of medicine. I will start off at first by saying that I was nervous! I never thought that I would actually gain the courage to travel 3000 miles away from home...but I was pleasantly surprised. The National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine was one of the best experiences of my life. It not only made me sure of what I wanted my profession to be, but it also introduced me to some of the nicest people I've ever met in my lifetime. The many different programs and activities that I attended were all great. I learned a lot. All in all I think the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine was worth every penny.

It was an honor to attend NYLF/MED. It was fun and I learned a lot. It was educational with a fun spin. I was unsure of whether or not to attend but I don't regret it at all. It was fun and I made some new friends! Go if you have the chance. It's definitely worth it!
